Academically trained in Strasbourg, Barcelona and Paris, and prior to joining the Johnson-Shoyama Graduate School, Bruno Dupeyron served as post-doctoral fellow at the School of Public Administration, University of Victoria. In 2006, he was honoured as the recipient of the best PhD dissertation award by the European Parliamentary Association, supported by the European Parliament. Dupeyron’s main areas of research cover multilevel governance, as well as the relations between immigration and citizenship. His current research focuses on two specific issues - the transformations of cross-border governance in comparative perspective (North America and Europe), and the representations and practices of dual citizens in Canada. In 2008, he published a monograph entitled L’Europe au défi de ses frontières : expériences rhénane et pyrénéenne. In addition to his role in the school, Dupeyron is an associate researcher at the Chaire de recherche en immigration, ethnicité et citoyenneté (UQAM).
