JSGS Student Workshop: Creating an Effective Poster Presentation: Tips and Guidelines

| Description: | This workshop will provide tips and guidelines on how to create a visually appealing and informative poster on which to display research information. The presenter will go through the basics of creating a poster, review the components of the JSGS Poster template, and if time allows it will review examples of posters where the components can be discussed and commented on. Students are encouraged to bring copies of their current posters for assistance and discussion. All JSGS students interested in learning these skills are invited to attend. It is encouraged that students participating in the 2013 Poster Competition should attend, but competing in the competition is not an attendance requirement. | |
