Description:The Johnson-Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy (JSGS) created a lecture series in honour of Mr. Donald D. Tansley, a well-known public servant who played a pivotal role during his time in Saskatchewan government, including chairing the committee that implemented our country’s first working model of Medicare. Mr. Tansley was noted for his ability to work in challenging public policy environments.

On April 18, 2013, the JSGS will hold the sixth annual Tansley Lecture with Mr. Peter C. Smith, Professor of Health Policy, Imperial College London. Mr. Smith will share his expert observations on performance management in his presentation entitled Strategic Targets for Public Services: Lessons for Canada from the English Experience.
