Description:On November 25, 2013, new data was released from the 2012 Aboriginal Peoples Survey, describing the education and employment characteristics of First Nations people living off reserve, Métis, and Inuit aged 6 years and older. The survey also collected information on health, language, income, housing and mobility. This was the fourth cycle of the Aboriginal Peoples Survey.
Data from the 2011 National Household Survey, released throughout 2013, will also be highlighted with a focus on Aboriginal peoples.
Statistics Canada is pleased to offer a free half-day information session on the data that is available for First Nations, Métis, and Inuit from the 2012 Aboriginal People’s Survey and the 2011 National Household Survey.
