Description:The health of any democracy is highly dependent on the vitality of its most local form of government. Despite the fact that Canadians have the greatest opportunity to participate in public life in their municipalities and school boards, the local government level is generally overshadowed by provincial and federal levels of government. This public roundtable will examine local government, its current state in Canada and in Saskatchewan, as well as its potential in producing a healthier democracy in the future.

This presentation also includes commentary by Mr. Bob Linner, Independent Consultant and former City Manager, Regina, and Ms Sherry Magnuson, Chief Administrative Offi cer, Town of Kindersley, Saskatchewan.
Please Note:There is no cost for this event but seating is limited.
