Assistant Professor (term), Johnson-Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy

Catherine Leviten-Reid

Catherine's graduate and post-graduate research has focused on the role of non-profit and co-operative organizations in service delivery, looking at their impact on family and community well-being as well as how they innovate. She has studied the role of the social economy in home care, child care, and more recently, services for individuals with mental health disabilities. Catherine not only has a profound interest in social economy research, but also has hands-on experience working in and among community organizations. She has worked and volunteered within the non-profit and co-operative sectors for over a decade, and is now on the board of the Saskatoon Community Clinic. Catherine melds her love of the outdoors with her career by either bicycling or walking to work, depending on the Saskatoon weather.
