Greg Marchildon
Canada Research Chair Greg Marchildon received his doctorate from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and spent five years at Johns Hopkins University in Washington, D.C.. His academic pedigree was among the reasons Marchildon was asked to serve as Executive Director of the Commission on the Future of Health Care in Canada, chaired by the Hon. Roy Romanow, Q.C. in 2001. Greg has an international reputation for his work in health care policy, but he is also an expert on the water, from canoeing the Churchill River to kayaking in Panama. Greg has co-authored a book with Sid Robinson entitled Canoeing The Churchill: A Practical Guide to the Historic Voyageur Highway, which won the 2002 Saskatchewan Book Award for scholarly writing.
