Haizhen Mou
Every possible weekend, Haizhen Mou pulls on sturdy footwear and heads out for a hike - which always involves looking for beautiful wildflowers during the summer months. Haizhen is a political economist with a specific interest in health care policy, but she jokes that her dream job is actually working in a flower shop. Since arriving in Saskatoon, Haizhen - also an avid reader - has immersed herself in prairie literature, including Guy Vanderhaeghe's acclaimed novel The Englishman's Boy. Haizhen's present work focuses on evaluating the boundary between public and private health care in a mixed system, and the implications for public policy.
