Robert E. Hawkins
Robert Hawkins specializes in administrative, constitutional and trade law and is regularly called upon to give negotiation skills seminars. He also knows his way around a budget. As the president of the University of Regina in 2005-2006, Robert eliminated a $1.8 million operating deficit, while maintaining his focus on the human capital of the institution. He launched the Quality Undergraduate Student Experience program, started a half-million dollar fund to encourage academic programming and student exchange initiatives, and improved food services and information technology delivery. For many years, Hawkins has played a leadership role on the boards of several Children's Hospital Foundations raising money for children's health, and he is always watching for an opportunity to polish up his French.
