Constructing Tomorrow's Federalism: New Routes to effective Governance

The Centre for Research and Information on Canada (CRIC), with its mission to disseminate the latest research on the federation to as wide an audience as possible, and in both official languages, agreed with SIPP on the need to publish a summary of the discussions from the Constructing Tomorrow's Federalism: New Routes to effective Governance conference discussions quickly and in an accessible form.

The magazine resulting from this partnership serves attempts to capture, as far as possible, the rich dialogue and insights offered by those who participated in the conference, and who are committed to finding new approaches to making the Canadian federation more effective. The magazine covers discussions on a wide range of issues, from democracy and distinctiveness to explorations of self-governance, power imbalances, and sources of tension, this national conference gathered scholars and practitioners to present views and test assertions on the legitimacy and future of the state of the federation.
