Dr. Geraedts has for some 30 years worked at the interface of leading edge science and R&D, and the building and management of several science and technology based organizations.
He was the founding Managing Director of a groundbreaking Canadian life sciences consortium (Networks of Centres of Excellence), founder/co-founder of several biotechnology and nanotechnology companies in Canada and Europe, and served as Entrepreneur in Residence with a leading Canadian venture capital fund.
Dr Geraedts has broad experience as a supervisory board member including as Chairman, in North America and Europe, and has acted as advisor to industry, government and academia internationally.
He has a lifelong interest in issues that drive politics and economics at sectoral, national and international levels, with a particular interest in China, pursued throughout a 35 year career in academe, finance and business. He is guided by an inherently skeptical and contrarian understanding of things, and regularly corresponds with journalists and media commentators internationally.
