As a Mentor
Mentoring is an important element in fostering and growing future public sector leaders. It is also a proactive avenue to source future talent for your own organization and other public service organizations in a tight labour market.
Learn how you can get involved as a mentor in the JSGSAA Mentorship Program.
As a Case Competition Judge
The internal and national case competitions are valuable opportunities for our students to develop their skillset and practice applying the competencies they learn in the classroom. Hire an Executive Intern
The JSGS Executive Internship Program offers Master of Public Administration students the opportunity to enhance their graduate experience with an internship in the federal or provincial public service, in municipal or local government, and in non-governmental organizations. Learn more about the program and how you can secure an executive intern for your organization.
JSGS Alumni Association
The JSGS Alumni Association connects alumni around the world, plans networking events and educational activities, provides mentorship opportunities, and maintains a bursary and/or scholarship fund for current JSGS students.
All alumni who have graduated from one of JSGS's graduate programs—including those who graduated from the University of Regina's Master of Public Administration program prior to the formation of JSGS—are automatically members of the JSGSAA and considered part of the electorate.
You can get involved with the JSGSAA by volunteering on the board, attending and volunteering at events, or supporting current students as a mentor with the JSGSAA mentorship program.

JSGS Alumni Association Award
This award was established in 2021 to assist students pursuing a master’s degree program at the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy. One award of $1,000 is presented annually to a University of Regina OR University of Saskatchewan graduate student.
This award is supported by contributions from JSGS Alumni. You can contribute to the fund by giving a taxable donation or by attending a JSGSAA fundraising event.
Congratulations on your degree from JSGS. We’re happy to welcome you to the JSGS Alumni family. Remember, education is often the key to positive change, for yourself, for those around you and for the world. As a graduate of the school, you know well the value of working together and embracing diversity to create new ideas and overcome old problems.
Take what you’ve learned with you wherever you go...but don’t forget us.
We want to stay connected with you and support your continued success. There are many resources for JSGS Alumni including access to career services, mentorship and networking opportunities, the JSGS Alumni Association, executive education programming, public lectures, and more.
JSGS Alumni continue to have access to a variety of campus resources, including the University of Regina Career Centre and USask Career Services. Take advantage of these to brush up on your interview skills, finesse your resume and cover letter, and more.
The University of Regina and the University of Saskatchewan issue tax slips for tuition, scholarships and other employment income as required by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). Please visit your respective home institution's site to gain access to your tax slips.
