Alexandra Fontaine BA, MA Indigenous Research & Engagement Expertise Specialist

Alexandra (Ali) is from the Sagkeeng First Nation in Manitoba. She holds a Master of Arts in Indigenous Governance from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor of Arts in Indigenous Studies from the University of Winnipeg. She brings to the table a strong history of facilitation experience at a national level with both the Indigenous Leadership Development Institute and the YWCA. She also boasts experience in scholarly research through her time spent at the University of Winnipeg, in addition to programming experience through her time spent at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, the Saskatchewan Writers' Guild, and the Leading Thunderbird Lodge.
