Vaccinations are one of the most effective ways to protect Canadians from COVID-19, and it is the hope that every Canadian who wants to be immunized will be by September 2021. There are many steps and considerations in getting the vaccines to the Canadians who need them, including:
- Who decides that certain groups will receive priority vaccinations?
- What are the logistical challenges associated with the supply chain for vaccines?
- How significant an issue is the lack of local vaccine production capability?
- How are vaccines shared and distributed/divided amongst the provinces and territories?
- What is the role of international relations in receiving adequate doses?
- Should provinces/territories be acting independently of the government to source the vaccine?
Join our panel of experts as we explore the policy and considerations behind getting the COVID Vaccine from the production line to the people.
