The world was changing prior to COVID-19.
Technology and geopolitics were transformed by the rise of intangible capital and its tendency towards a “winner-take-all” paradigm. One manifestation was a new U.S.-China “cold war.” Another was the rise of big global tech giants. COVID-19 has exacerbated these trends.
Join us as our panel aims to make sense of these developments by examining what they mean for Canada, and what Canadian policymakers should do about them.
