CSIP Forum: Low-income energy efficiency in Canada

Video Conference

CSIP invites all students, faculty, researchers, and citizens interested in the study of science, technology and innovation policy to participate in these bi-weekly forums.

Presented by Dr. Martin Boucher, Faculty Lecturer, JSGS

To achieve global zero emissions targets by 2050, Canada needs to accelerate the pace of its energy transition. This transition, however, can impact people within the population differently. Of those most impacted are low-income Canadians. This presentation will discuss the impacts on low-income Canadians, explore current approaches in the country, and share progress on an ongoing project with the city of Saskatoon on low-income renters.

About CSIP Forums:

Science, technology and innovation policy is essential in shaping our future. Translating the narrative into clear options, strategies and outcomes is necessary, but far from simple.   CSIP invites all students, faculty, researchers, and citizens interested in the study of science, technology and innovation policy to participate in these bi-weekly forums.
