About the lecture:

As climate change impacts increase and affect more of our communities, we must learn to adapt. From devastating floods to intense droughts to record heat waves, we see it all in Saskatchewan.Collaborative planning and an openness to explore innovative solutions will help us combat climate damage. Governments, municipalities, and citizens imagining a sustainable future, working together to enact climate adaptation policies will help municipalitiesbuild resilience and address the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

About the speaker:

Dr. Margot Hurlbert is a faculty member of the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy. She explores the gap between what is needed to address climate change and current policy and behaviour. She is a Professor and Canada Research Chair, Climate Change,Energy, and Sustainability Policy at the University of Regina.
