About the lecture:
Communities and local government are fundamental to long-term ecological and economic sustainability. International conventions, national policies, and sub-national regulations provide a contextand a vision for a different future. Engaged politicians, inter-organizational collaboration, building a shared vision for the future, engagement with our Indigenous neighbours, and sustained participation from our youth and immigrant populations are necessaryelements for a society-up transformation. Community-led transformation builds a sense of belonging while addressing vital ecological challenges and responsibilities.
