Video Conference

You are invited to join the discussion on the importance of sustainability and what it means to you and your community!

Presented by:

Akram Mahani, Assistant Professor, JSGS

About the lecture:

We are working towards reaching our sustainable development goals in our country, our province, and our communities. It will take all of us working together to reach the United Nations’ SustainableDevelopment Goals (SDGs) by 2030. Our local municipalities directly support our communities with a wide range of public and social policies. Housing, transportation, recreation, land planning, and community health and safety are just a few areas where municipalpolicies affect how we live, work, and play. We will address the social side of sustainability with a focus on SDG 11, sustainable cities and communities, and SDG 17, partnerships, and collaboration.
