About the Presentation:
Law Day events celebrate the signing of Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms and present an opportunity to reflect on the impact of the Charter on important public policy issues. The opioid crisis is a challenge that governments across Canada are grappling with. For Law Day 2023, JSGS and the Saskatchewan Branch of the Canadian Bar Association are co-hosting an interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral panel to explore options for addressing the opioid crisis, with a focus on strategies rooted in law and the associated implications for Charter rights.
