Appointed to his current position in August 2021, he has served as Deputy Minister for Western Economic Diversification Canada (WD) from 2016 to 2021, during the evolution of WD into two new regional development agencies: PacifiCan and PrairiesCan. Prior to that he was President and CEO of the Canada West Foundation from 2012 to 2016, and has also served in various roles in the federal and provincial governments, including Deputy Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs for Saskatchewan.
