JSGS Public Lecture ~ Dealing with a Divided America: What Should Canada Do?

Video Conference

Join us on Zoom for this public lecture!

Featuring:

Colin Robertson, Vice President and Fellow, Canadian Global Affairs Institute

Colin Robertson will describe the crisis facing the new Biden Administration - health, economic, climate, social, political - and what this means for Canada. For Canada in the world, it is still the USA and then the rest. The USA continues to be our main trading partner and the USA defence shield guarantees our security. As joint tenants in North America we also have to manage our environment together. The odious Donald Trump may be gone but almost half of America backed him in the last election and many of those continue to believe the election was stolen. Amongst the questions Colin will address: What will Mr. Biden expect from Canada? What can Canada expect from Mr. Biden? How do we advance Canadian interests in a divided America?
