*Postponed* JSGS Student Workshop - Research for Policy Impact: Experimental Design and Analysis

University of Saskatchewan

This workshop has been postponed - new dates will be announced once they are finalized.

Facilitated by Vince Hopkins, JSGS Assistant Professor & Yang Yang, JSGS Assistant Professor

Public policy is about social and economic impact. One way to maximize impact is through experiments: data-driven analysis to solve problems and find what works (and what doesn’t).  In this FREE workshop, students will learn the basics of designing and analyzing experiments for policy. We’ll cover theory and data—you’ll even conduct your own experiment!

What you need to know:

  • The workshop is in-person and open to all current JSGS students.
  • Enrollment is competitive with a max. of 15 students.
  • Participants must bring their own computers and attend both sessions (Oct 20 and 27).
  • The workshop is free. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide funding for transportation or refreshments.
