It had a significantly higher rural population and an economy reliant on traditional industries such as fisheries and agriculture…Today, Norway is viewed as one of the best countries in the world in which to live... Norwegians have high life expectancy, almost no poverty, low levels of unemployment and high levels of education attainment. The country’s vibrant economy, mostly known for its petroleum wealth, is more diversified than most realize.”

Can Saskatchewan become another Norway?
In this talk, Dr Poelzer will discuss the similarities between the Norwegian and Saskatchewan economies, and the important lessons to be learnt from policy decisions made by the Norwegian government over the past 30 years.
