Chima Casmir Ibeh is supporting Dr. Akram Mahani’s research program on Healthy Cities and Communities, with a particular focus on the youth-led project. He brings a strong interdisciplinary background to the role. Originally from southeastern Nigeria, Casmir is trained in optometry and practiced for several years before transitioning into community health research.
He recently completed a Master’s degree in Community and Population Health Science at the University of Saskatchewan, where his research examined the health impacts of free transportation in northern Saskatchewan. Outside of work, Casmir enjoys reading and playing or watching soccer.
