Join us as Shalini Gambhir and Stefany Kawka present on two projects they completed during their MHA placement with the Ministry of Health, Government of Saskatchewan. MHA students are located across Canada so they not only bring a wealth of experience to the placement but also a diverse perspective from their own communities.
Each presentation will last approximately 30 minutes, followed by a Q&A. This event will be moderated by Cheryl Camillo, MHA Director.
10:00 a.m. | Suicide Prevention Research presented by Stefany Kawka
Working with the Mental Health and Addictions Unit of the Community Care Branch, Stefany Kawka’s mentors were Kathy Willerth and Gary Shepherd. Stefany currently works as Manager for Home and Community Care for the Champlain Local Health Integration Network in Ottawa.
11:00 a.m. | Vaccine Storage and Handling presented by Shalini Gambhir
Shalini Gambhir worked in the Disease Prevention Unit of the Population Health Branch. Her mentors were Suzanne Fedorowich and Rosalie Tuchscherer. Shalini is a Medical Radiation Therapist for the B.C. Cancer Agency.
