About the presentation:
This event will explore how Saskatchewan’s healthcare system can evolve to better serve diverse communities, including First Nations, Métis, and LGBTQS+ people, by highlighting examples of leading work from different domains of healthcare. First Nations, Métis, and LGBTQS+ face unique challenges including lack of access, being disproportionately impacted by factors that cause chronic illness, barriers in accessing culturally competent care, and encountering discrimination and inadequate support. In light of these issues, it’s crucial to build an inclusive healthcare system that fosters trust, ensures appropriate treatment, and addresses the diverse needs of all patients. Join the conversation and take away actionable strategies and resources to promote a more inclusive and equitable healthcare environment in your organizations.
