JSGS statement on death of George Floyd

Like millions of people around the world, we are saddened and outraged by the death of George Floyd and the underlying racism that it highlights.

JSGS students, staff, and faculty:

Like millions of people around the world, we are saddened and outraged by the death of George Floyd and the underlying racism that it highlights. Black Lives Matter. Indigenous Lives Matter. All forms of racism must be condemned, and we must be prepared to stand and work together to oppose racist and discriminatory action. We need to listen, learn, and work to be part of the change that is needed and not stand mute when action is required. Events like those of the past weeks remind us that we can and must do better — much better — individually and collectively to build and strengthen our communities.
