The 2020 U.S. Election: What happens now?

Video Conference

This online lecture is supported by the Max Bell Foundation.

No U.S. election in recent memory has had greater implications for Canada, the world, and the US itself. The Nov. 3 vote unfolded in the midst of a global pandemic, a staggering economy and civil unrest. At stake was whether the US continues down a road of economic nationalism and withdrawal from international institutions, or returns to a role as an engaged global leader. Join our panel of experts as they explore the results and what it means for Canada.

Moderated by Arjun Tremblay, Assistant Professor, Department of Politics and International Studies at the University of Regina, this panel features:

  • Marshall Auerback, Market Commentator and Research Associate, Levy Institute, Bard College
  • Cheryl Camillo, Assistant Professor, Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy, and Associate, North America Observatory on Health Systems and Policies
  • Lori Hausegger, Associate Professor, Political Science, Boise State University
