CSIP Forum ~ Public Perceptions of Nuclear Technology in Saskatchewan and Ontario

Video Conference

The Centre for the Study of Science and Innovation Policy (CSIP) invites all students, faculty, researchers, and citizens interested in the study of science, technology and innovation policy to participate in a bi-weekly forum.

Presented by:

Larissa Shasko, Ph.D. Candidate, JSGS

Jose Condor, Ph.D., Professional Research Associate, JSGS

Although international organizations recognize the importance of nuclear technology in achieving clean energy, public acceptance is still low. Ontario and Saskatchewan are interesting places for evaluating public perception of nuclear energy since the first province produces over 60% of its electricity from nuclear plants while Saskatchewan is the main producer of uranium. In this forum Larissa Shasko and Jose Condor will present the partial results of surveys and focus groups sessions hosted in Ontario and Saskatchewan.
