Policy School welcomes Veronica Gelowitz as Special Advisor and Executive-in-Residence

The Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy (JSGS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Veronica Gelowitz to the position of Special Advisor and Executive in Residence, effective June 4, 2026.

With more than three decades of service in Saskatchewan’s public sector, Gelowitz brings extensive leadership experience and a deep understanding of policy development and public administration in this role. A University of Regina alumnus, Gelowitz joins JSGS in a role that aligns closely with a career dedicated to strengthening public policy and public sector leadership.

Most recently, she served as Deputy Minister Ministry of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety and has held senior positions across various ministries in the Government of Saskatchewan, including Environment, Corporate Services and Policy Division, Tourism Saskatchewan, Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region, Justice, and Corrections.

Her depth of experience and insights will be a tremendous asset as we deliver timely and engaging professional development and executive education programming to governments and public sector professionals and volunteers at all levels.”

In addition to her extensive background in the public sector, Gelowitz is also a certified Chartered Professional Accountant, and has held executive board positions at the Financial Management Institute, Regina Chapter.
